If you're a University Hospitals patient, you can log in to MyChart again. UH announced Saturday that the portal is available. It had been down since Oct. 22, when UH disconnected its systems from the internet after it detected unusual activity on its servers.
Not everything is caught up. UH says some features may not be fully functional yet. UH also says it will never call, text or email to ask for personal information such as your password or full Social Security number.
- Delays: new test results and other data may show up late
- Suspicious call or message: don't respond; call your doctor's office
- Cause: UH gave no new details about the incident Saturday
UH says its hospitals and offices stayed open during the outage
| Part of UH | What UH says |
|---|---|
| Hospitals | Remained open |
| Emergency departments | Remained open |
| Physician offices | Remained open |
| Appointments and procedures | Vast majority continued |

The outage sent patients to the phones. Lifelong UH patient Stephen Bloomfield described a 20-minute wait on music before someone answered the phones. UH said it was working to increase its call capacity.
