Levy

Strongsville's Issue 9, a five-year, 6.7-mill school operating levy, was leading in absentee results Tuesday night with 55.19% of the vote, in unofficial results. It would cost about $235 a year for a $100,000 home, and district officials have said passage could prevent about $15.2 million in additional cuts. Cleveland.com

The Wrap

Jack Skellington's plan to take over Christmas gets a live musical treatment on Friday, Nov. 6. The Cleveland Orchestra plays Danny Elfman's score live in Severance's Mandel Concert Hall while the whole film plays on screen. It's a spooky-meets-jolly double feature, and we think it's a fine way to ease into the holidays.
